Also, I’m all for women being treated with respect and equally, because we are. But I find it really funny that most women on tumblr will reblog feminist posts and talk about how “fucked up” some things are. For my example, I would like to remind you all about how butt-hurt EVERYONE got over the sex scene in Twilight. And how many “THIS!” reblogs did I see from people that I follow/follow me? I can’t even count them.

Sure, violence against women isn’t cool, but don’t use your “Harry Potter is better than Twilight” bias to sit there and talk about the feminist movement. Why shouldn’t you, you might ask? Because you can’t pick and choose when to be a feminist. It’s pretty hypocritical of you to talk about how women are oppressed, subject to rape and violence, made into objects rather than subjects, etc. on one movie just because you don’t like it, then turn around and get your panties soaking-wet over Fear because you’re remembering how good it felt the first time your pussy was rubbed, you need to get laid and Mark Wahlburg licking his lips is just soooo hot.

Point being: this entire movie is about how Mark Wahlburg used violence and manipulation to get into Reese Witherspoon’s much younger panties, and continue to control her every move/commit violence against her family. Yes, Twilight can be a bit ridiculous at times and no, violence against women is NEVER okay. But everybody is upset over the fact that Stephanie Meyer took something like vampires and werewolves and made them her own. YOU’RE MAD. AT A WOMAN. FOR WRITING A BOOK AND USING HER IMAGINATION. AND GETTING MILLIONS OF PEOPLE AROUND THE WORLD TO READ. The same people that preach that “Reading is cool!”, “*JOHN WATERS QUOTE ABOUT READING AND FUCKING!*” and “Girl hate is the worst hate!! Icky icky poo!”  You might not like the content, but you don’t have to fucking read it. But if you don’t read it/watch it, don’t critique it like you know what you’re talking about.
